Hang the board on the wall so that the centre hook is roughly at the player's eye level. You may place distance markers on the floor at about 9ft, from the Board for adults and 6ft for younger children. Each player in turn throws all six rings in succession. The highest score wins.

Variations of play include scoring on even numbers only, to an agreed total, right handed players with their right hand, standing on one leg when throwing the rings, playing with the back to the board and throwing the rings over the shoulder.
