For eight hundred years, the Unicorn Clan wondered the world leaving the Lion Clan unchallenged as the dominant army in the Empire. Since they returned to reclaim their ancestral lands, these two powerful clans have been heading to war.

On one side are the tawny colors of the Lion Clan, master strategists boasting a thousand years of noble ancestry. Fearless in battle and adorned with manes and claws, they have never known defeat.

On the other side are the purple and white of the Unicorn Clan, boasting strange gajin ways - ways of peoples outside of Rakugan. riding their large and powerful barbarian war horses, they have  a speed heretofore unknown in the Empire.
