The authentic stock market game

The aim of the game:

This is a game based firmly on the characteristics of dealings in stocks and shares. As in reality, the strategies of the investors decisively affect the market trends - with the chance element of only secondary importance.

"Speculate" does not provide a situation in which players win or lose unrealistic millions, it stimulates the postion of the small investor trying to increase the value of his holdings by the modest but vital amounts he knows in real life he can hope for. Now, however, he is in competition with others, each of whom will try to turn the market situation in his own favour.

There will be times when players will have the excitement of seeing their plans bring substantial gains but if the market does not run their way they will find an equally exciting and challenging situation as they struggle to hold their portfolios together and avoid the slide into bankruptcy.
